Starting in Japan with the inspiration of the key idea of “realizing a world where our healthful life is guaranteed and we can live our full life span,” an effort has evolved to create a civilization in harmony with nature based on the works of Mokichi Okada. This effort has now expanded in the world to include work in 21 nations. In such places, an effort has been made to accumulate the data, and document the case studies, that are the result of work with Nature Farming, Okada Purifying Therapy, and arts and culture activities. This effort has been accomplished with the help of many people, including scientists and medical doctors. This is occurring mainly at the MOA’s wellness institutes established in Japan (currently 5 locations) and in Hawaii, Los Angeles, Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Brazil and Thailand.
Overseeing this expansion to the international community, Mr. Teruaki Kawai, Chairman of MOA International, has decided to launch a research institute in Manhattan, New York. We share Okada’s concern when we see the chaotic condition of the world. In the 1950’s, Okada was amazed at the results of Nature Farming and Okada Purifying Therapy. At that time he made important publications available to society. Since then, there has been much work documenting the effects of using these modalities, often involving supervision and evaluation by medical doctors. We feel it is our urgent responsibility at this crucial time to make these data public.
